PopMan is a Windows desktop application for receiving e-mails via POP3 or IMAP4 protocol.
To use PopMan, you need to install and set up the program on your computer.
All data, including email addresses and passwords, are stored only locally on your computer.
PopMan’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to
Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When you use the "Sign in with Google" option for Gmail accounts and grant the permission
"Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail." to PopMan, a refresh token is retrieved.
No personal information is accessed. The refresh token is stored as you password for the Gmail account in PopMan.
When you try to retrieve messages from Gmail via IMAP4 protocol, the refresh token is used to retrieve an access token
from Google. The access token is valid for only 30 minutes and never stored. It is used instead of a password for
authentication. When it expires, a new access token is retrieved from Google using the refresh token.
No advertising is displayed in PopMan and no usage statistics are created.
Once a day PopMan contacts the server of CH-Software to check for updates.
You can disable this check by removing the "Check for updates" option in the "About" dialog.
